NHS Innovation Accelerator features the story of the Vinehealth user Marie

NHS Innovation Accelerator interviewed one of the Vinehealth’s users and patient advisors Marie.

In her story, Marie speaks about her diagnosis and shares her experience of using the Vinehealth app.

She mentioned that she found Vinehealth a safe place to record all of her cancer information in a straightforward way. With the immediate benefits of Vinehealth like having all of her cancer information in one place and being able to go back and look at her previous logs, Marie continues to use Vinehealth regularly to help manage her bowel cancer.

We created the Vinehealth app with the help of patient advisors like Marie, to make sure it’s easy for all cancer patients to log symptoms and medications, and keep on top of their care. We’ve been very grateful to be able to speak with Marie and get her thoughts and feedback on the app design, as well as test some ideas with her.

The Vinehealth patient support app for cancer patients helps people living with cancer by supporting them through their journey. Such support in self-management directly impacts better real-world outcomes. We back up our solutions with behavioural and data science in our cancer companion app. By doing this, the app helps cancer patients to monitor their treatments, and encourages them to engage in activities that are most likely to improve their health.
